The Francophone Film Festival 2016, jointly organized by the International Francophone Organization (OIF) and the Vietnam Cinematography Department, will take place in Hanoi, Hue, and HCMC from March 17 to 31.

The famous Vietnamese movie “Toi thay hoa vang tren co xanh” (Yellow Flowers on the Green Grass) will also be shown on the occasion.


During the event, nine films will be screened, including “Timbuktu”, “Le Jour des Corneilles”, and “Belle et Sebastien” from France, “Kinshasa Kids”, “Les Oiseauz de Passage” from Belgium, “Tapis Rouge” from Switzerland, “Le Choeur d’une Culture” from Canada, and “Asmma” from Egypt.

The screening of those movies will take place between March 17 and 28 at L’Espace, 24 Trang Tien Street and Cinematheque at 22A Hai Ba Trung Street, Hanoi.

In HCMC, they will screen from March 16 to 21 at IDECAF, 31 Thai Van Lung Street, District 1 before being presented to audiences in Hue at L’espace, 1 Le Hong Phong Street.
