Information about the event was unveiled at a press conference held in Ho Chi Minh City on June 11.

Tran Viet Bao Hoang, head of the Miss Cosmo pageant’s organisers, said the contest’s organisation would meet international standards and all activities would take place in Ho Chi Minh City and other major cities across the country.

Furthermore, the organisers will hold sub-contests, including Impactful Influencer, Impactful Talent, and Impactful Beauty through online channels.

The semi-final night is set to be held on October 2, with the grand final then getting underway at the Phu Tho Gymnasium in the southern city on October 5.

The winner of Miss Cosmo 2024 will receive a cash prize of US$100,000. The organisers will also award only one runner-up title in the final night.

With the theme of "Vivid Vietnam", the beauty contest’s activities seek to promote images of Vietnamese people and landscape to international friends. Bui Thi Xuan Hanh, Miss Cosmo Vietnam 2023, will become the first Vietnamese representative to compete for the Miss Cosmo 2024 title.

The 23-year-old girl stands at 1.71 metres tall and measures 82-60-87 cm. She graduated from the National Economics University in Hanoi and has actively participated in many charity activities.
