Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has signed Official Dispatch No. 136 directing the organization of simultaneous inauguration and groundbreaking ceremonies for 250 projects across the country in celebration of the 80th anniversary of National Day (September 2, 1945 - September 2, 2025).

This landmark event, with a total investment of 1.28 quadrillion VND (approximately 50.5 billion USD), is expected to create a strong ripple effect in strategic infrastructure development.

According to the plan, the ceremonies will take place on August 19, with the main venue at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Hanoi, connected live to about 80 major locations nationwide. The projects span multiple key sectors, aimed at boosting growth, enhancing competitiveness, and driving sustainable development.

The Prime Minister instructed ministers, heads of government agencies, local leaders, corporations, and related units to strictly follow prior directives in Official Dispatches No. 57 and No. 129. The goal is to ensure progress, quality, solemnity, efficiency, cost-effectiveness, and absolute safety.

Project owners, contractors, and event organizers must proactively prepare technical and logistical conditions according to the master plan of Vietnam Television, coordinating closely with VNPT, Viettel, and the Ministry of Construction to ensure seamless transmission and high-quality live broadcasting.

The Prime Minister also emphasized inviting representatives from relevant agencies, units, and communities to attend, while ensuring security, traffic management, medical readiness, and fire prevention at all venues.

Vietnam Television will lead in developing a detailed program, producing and broadcasting the live event, and working with the Voice of Vietnam, the Vietnam News Agency, and other media outlets to provide coverage before, during, and after the ceremonies. The main venue program will feature special musical performances to inspire patriotic pride and encourage public and business contributions.

VNPT and Viettel are tasked with ensuring technical infrastructure, connecting transmissions before 3:00 p.m. on August 15, assigning technical staff at all venues, and providing image and sound feeds for the program.

The Chairman of the Hanoi People’s Committee is responsible for organizing the main venue, coordinating closely with partners for technical connections, recording, and broadcasting. The Ministry of Public Security will oversee nationwide security arrangements.

With an investment scale exceeding 50 billion USD, these 250 projects carry not only economic significance but also symbolize the vision and scope of Vietnam’s national infrastructure development strategy.
