This initiative is being implemented by the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development under the Ministry of Industry and Trade. It aims to establish a digital database of Vietnamese agricultural products to promote trade and expand market reach.

The map is set to launch during the Vietnam Agricultural Products Week 2025, held on October 24-25, 2025, at 45 Trang Tien Street, Hoan Kiem District, Hanoi. The event marks the beginning of a nationwide platform that will serve as a comprehensive promotional and distribution channel for Vietnamese agricultural products, enhancing their presence in both domestic and international markets.

In its initial phase, the Agricultural Products Map will highlight select agricultural products from each province and city. These products are carefully chosen to represent the strengths, cultural identity, and economic value of each locality. The list of products is proposed by local Departments of Industry and Trade, based on criteria such as quality, reputation, and regional distinctiveness.

This approach showcases the diversity and richness of Vietnamese agriculture while laying the foundation for an expanded and refined agricultural product database in the future.

The first stage not only introduces iconic local products but also sets the stage for building a unified, transparent, and regularly updated national agricultural database. This will bridge farmers, enterprises, and consumers, while also supporting policy making, trade promotion, and branding of Vietnamese farm products domestically and globally.

Beyond being a showcase, the Agricultural Products Map is designed as an open-access digital platform. It will provide detailed information on origin, farming regions, production methods, quality certifications, and links to producers, cooperatives, and distribution channels across the country.

This data-rich tool will not only boost promotional efforts but also serve as a vital connection between producers, consumers, distributors, and export partners. It is expected to increase competitiveness and strengthen the brand value of Vietnamese agricultural products.

“We hope every product featured on the map will reflect not only its quality and reliability but also the cultural essence, hard work, and unique spirit of its region,” a representative from the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development said.

The Agricultural Products Map will be regularly updated and is expected to become an essential information source, vividly reflecting the potential, strengths, and distinct identities of agricultural products across Vietnam. It is more than just a promotional tool - it is a strategic communication platform designed to elevate the status of Vietnamese agriculture.

After its debut, the Agricultural Products Map will be publicly available and updated on the official website of the Department of Domestic Market Management and Development: www.dms.gov.vn.
