VietNamNet Bridge - The Miss Universe 2014 competition will start in Florida, USA from January 1-25, 2015, and Vietnam has not named its representative.

On the Miss Universe website, a box for Vietnam was removed while the boxes for the countries that have not announced its representatives have the words “Coming Soon".

On Wikipedia, the page about Miss Universe 2014 says that Azerbaijan, Botswana, Denmark, Estonia, Namibia, Romania, and Vietnam have withdrawn from the pageant.

On December 17, UNI Corp, which holds the copyright to choose a Vietnamese representative for the pageant, confirmed that Vietnam would not participate in the event because it could not select a suitable candidate.

Earlier, it was rumored that Miss Vietnam 2012 Dang Thu Thao would attend the Miss Universe 2014 beauty but she denied the rumor.
