Both born in 1990, Huy and Trung have already been honored at several international and domestic film festivals after graduation from the directing department of HCMC University of Performing Arts and Cinema, and Hanoi Academy of Theater and Cinema.

“Cha Cha Cha” is a story about the generation gap while “The Lottery Boy” reflects the life of children in relation with social issues.

This year’s APM of the annual Busan International Film Festival held in South Korea has announced the selection of 30 film projects from 15 Asian countries.

Directors of those film projects will make presentations to international

film producers and investors and they will have the opportunity to win cash awards for other film projects.

Director Trung told VnExpress that he is happy as this is the first time Vietnam has had two film projects selected for the APM and that young directors like him and Huy should take this opportunity to present more Vietnamese films to the world.

APM will run between October 4 and 6 in Busan City during the October 1 to 10 film festival.

By last year, APM had selected a total of 442 projects, with 200 of them having joined film festivals around the world.
