Coach Park Hang-seo has brought 24 players with him for the camp which will last until January 4.

Before leaving, the South Korean coach cut the squad from 27 to 24. He still has to drop one more before his team take part in the cup, which begins on January 5 in the United Arab Emirates.

During their training, Vietnam will have a friendly match against the Philippines on December 31. It is their second friendly in preparation, after drawing 1-1 with North Korea on Christmas Day.

The Asian Cup will run until February 1, with Vietnam in Group D with Iran, Iraq and Yemen. They begin the tournament against Iraq on January 8.
