Vietnam triumph at SEA karatedo event

Viet Nam took the lead in the Southeast Asia (SEA) Karatedo Federation Championships 2015, which concluded in Vientiane, Laos, yesterday.
The team won 12 gold, four silver and nine bronze medals. Thailand finished second with six gold and 13 silver medals, while Malaysia came third with six gold, seven silver and 11 bronze medals.
About 200 athletes from eight countries in the region participated in the four-day championships.
Viet Nam also triumphed at the same event held in the Cuu Long (Mekong) Delta city of Can Tho last year with 14 gold, 22 silver and 30 bronze medals.
VN to participate in IWF Youth World Championships

Vietnamese weightlifters will take part in the 2015 IWF Youth World Championships that will begin in Lima, Peru, on April 6.
The team members are Nguyen Tran Anh Tuan and Ly Quang Vinh (men's 56kg), Le Nguyen Quoc Bao (men's 50kg) and Le Khong My Phuong (women's 44kg).
Tuan won a silver medal at the 2013 Asian Youth Games and Youth Olympic Games in 2014. Vinh bagged two silver medals and one bronze medal at the Asian Youth and Junior Weightlifting Championships last year.
The tournament will end on Sunday.
Half-back Tuan Anh makes a comeback
Experienced half-back Nguyen Tuan Anh of Hoang Anh Gia Lai (HAGL) has recovered from an injury and has begun training.
He is expected to play in the match between HAGL and Song Lam Nghe An in the national premier league's ninth round on Sunday.
Anh, who is a key member of the national U23 team, was injured in the match between Viet Nam and Malaysia in the 2016 Asian U23 qualifying round late last month.
