VietNamNet Bridge – The country on July 19 collected six golds and a silver at the Open Weightlifting Cup in Budapest, Hungary.

In the men’s 56kg weight category, Thach Kim Tuan lifted 285kg in total, earning him a gold medal.

Nguyen Tran Anh Tuan bagged a second gold medal in the 56kg weight teenage category with total weight results of 112kg (clean) and 141kg (jerk).

Do Thi Thu Hoai topped the women’s 48kg weight category after lifting 76kg (jerk) and 90kg (clean).

Three weight-lifters Hong Ngoc, Tan Tai and Van Hoa have come in first in the 77kg, 85kg and 94kg weight categories respectively.

A silver medal has gone to Tran Le Quoc Toan in the men’s 56kg weight category after he lifted 270kg.  

The tournament was held during Vietnamese team’s training course in Hungary to prepare for the Youth Olympic Games and the Asian Games (ASIAD).
