Vietnam and Türkiye issued a joint statement within the framework of Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh’s official visit to the European nation at the invitation of Vice President Cevdet Yılmaz from November 29 - 30.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh expected that Turkey would consider kicks-starting negotiations on a free trade agreement (FTA) with Vietnam to help boost trade cooperation between the two countries.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh, his spouse and the Vietnamese delegation arrived at Esenboga International Airport in Ankara on November 28 evening (local time), beginning an official visit to Türkiye from November 29-30.
