Vietnam and Russia on November 12 issued a joint statement on the occasion of Russian President Vladimir Putin’s State visit to Vietnam, affirming their efforts to continue strengthening the comprehensive strategic partnership.

The visit by Russian President Vladimir Putin will help strengthen the time-honoured friendship and comprehensive strategic partnership between the two countries, Party General Secretary Nguyen Phu Trong said.

 Russian President Vladimir Putin began a State-level visit to Vietnam on November 12 at the invitation of State President Truong Tan Sang.

 VietNamNet Bridge - At the invitation of President Truong Tan Sang, the Republic of Korea (RoK) President Park Geun-hye made a State-level visit to Vietnam from September 7 to 11.
