The MOU aims to promote cooperation between Vietnam and WEF in the new phase, with a focus on six key areas: innovation in agriculture, green transformation, net-zero goals, reducing waste and plastic, transition to renewable energy, digital transformation, and the establishment of the Fourth Industrial Revolution Center.

The agreement will enable Vietnam to access more resources, participate in global programs of WEF, attract investment, and enhance national competitiveness.

During a meeting at the WEF gathering in Tianjin City, China, on June 26, Prime Minister Chinh expressed his hope that WEF will continue to support Vietnam in attracting high-quality investment, especially in high-tech fields, energy transition, and digital transformation.

Professor Schwab emphasized that WEF will strengthen its cooperation with Vietnam and work closely with relevant agencies to propose and implement collaborative projects that align with Vietnam’s interests.

Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh has been invited to attend the WEF Forum in Davos in January 2024.

PM Chinh also delivered a speech at the WEF’s Country Strategic Dialogue on Vietnam, which was attended by about 50 leaders of international corporations.

This dialogue was the only national-level event organized by WEF during its 2023 annual meeting and provided an opportunity for participants to exchange views on Vietnam’s business-investment directions, policies, and environment.
