The third Vietnam International Defense Expo will continue to be held at Gia Lam Airport, Long Bien Ward, Hanoi. The event is scheduled to take place over four days, from December 10 to 13, 2026.

This year’s theme is “Peace - Friendship - Cooperation for mutual development”.

Organizers are considering inviting international aerobatic teams to stage flight performances at the exhibition, including teams from Russia, the Republic of Korea, China, India and the United Kingdom.

Vietnam is expected to invite 170 delegations from more than 50 countries worldwide.

International guests are projected to include defense ministers and chiefs of general staff or commanders of national defense forces; army, air force and navy commanders from ASEAN countries; and heads of general political departments from the armed forces of Laos, China, Russia, Cuba and the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea.

Also on the guest list are co-chairs of subcommittees within the Russia and Belarus intergovernmental committees or joint commissions.

In addition, Vietnam will invite leaders of state management agencies responsible for defense industry in countries that have established cooperation mechanisms or defense industry partnerships with Vietnam. Commanders of defense forces from selected member states of the Indo-Pacific Chiefs of Defense Conference mechanism will also be invited.

The list further includes defense ministers, deputy defense ministers or defense secretaries from countries that maintain deputy minister-level strategic or defense policy dialogue mechanisms with Vietnam, as well as defense ministers from countries that have Comprehensive Strategic Partnerships, Strategic Partnerships or Comprehensive Partnerships with Vietnam.

Invitees will also include families of individuals who have rendered meritorious service to the revolution, veteran revolutionaries and members of the public visiting the exhibition.

Regarding exhibition activities, indoor displays are expected to feature weapon systems and equipment researched and manufactured by the General Department of Defense Industry, along with defense products from domestic and international defense companies and industrial conglomerates.

Outdoor areas are set to showcase weapons and equipment currently in service with the Vietnam People’s Army, as well as items developed and produced by Vietnam’s defense industry. Equipment from foreign partners and domestic and international defense enterprises and groups will also be presented.

Within the framework of the exhibition, thematic seminars and scientific workshops will be organized to exchange and discuss issues related to military technology and the defense industry. The event will also introduce achievements in the economic-defense sphere and promote Vietnam’s history, country, culture and people.
