Vietnam welcome regional soldiers at shooting events
Viet Nam will host the 24th ASEAN Armies Rifle Meet on November 19-28 in Ha Noi.
Ten teams will compete in six events for both men and women at the event.
This is the first time that Viet Nam is hosting the event that made its debut in 1991 in Malaysia.
Former national player Truong to coach Song Lam Nghe An
Former player Ngo Quang Truong has been appointed coach of V-League side Song Lam Nghe An (SLNA), replacing Nguyen Huu Thang.
Truong will be in charge of the team when they compete at the upcoming National Sports Games in the northern province of Nam Dinh before starting their V-League 2015 campaign.
Truong coached the SLNA U17 team to win the national U17 football championship in 2012.
Thang will pursue further training as a coach. He helped the team to win the National Cup in 2010, a V-League title in 2011 and a Super Cup a year later.
Da Nang top Group B at Binh Duong Television Cup
SHB Da Nang defeated Quang Ninh Coal 3-1 to top the Binh Duong Television-Number One Cup yesterday at Binh Duong Province's Go Dau Stadium.
In another match in Group B, Sport Cube Capixaba won 3-1 over Ayeyawady United FC from Myanmar.
Da Nang now have six points after two games and will play Brazilian Sport Cube Capixaba, who are sitting at second, tomorrow.
Meanwhile Quang Ninh will play Myanmar champions Ayeyawady.
In today's action in Group A, hosts Becamex Binh Duong will face South Korea University Selection Team while Dong Tam Long An will see BEC Tero Sasana FC of Thailand.
Golfers to tee off at national women's open
About 100 golf players will take part in the National Women's Golf Open at Do Son Seaside Golf Resort in Hai Phong City from November 14 to 16.
Competitors, including 20 foreigners, will be divided into groups based on their handicaps and ages.
Ngo Bao Nghi of HCM City will defend her title against anticipated strong challenges from national junior gold champion Nguyen Thao My, who represented Viet Nam at the recent Asian Games, and rising star Tran Chieu Duong, who has spent time training in the US.
Long An win second match, top group
Dong Tam Long An beat host Becamex Binh Duong 2-0 in a second round Group A match in the Binh Duong Television-Number One Cup tournament yesterday.
Their second win pushed Long An to the top of the group with six points.
South Korea University Selected Team are second after their 2-0 win over Thai BEC Tero Sasana in an earlier match at the Go Dau Stadium.
Binh Duong in third place, followed by Sasana.
In the next round tomorrow, Long An will play Sasana while Binh Duong face the South Korean students.
