"The Government of Vietnam welcomes the agreement between Israel and Hamas aimed at ending the current conflict in the Gaza Strip," she stated.

She also praised the mediating and conciliatory efforts of the countries involved in achieving this agreement.

“We call on all relevant parties to seriously comply with the terms of the ceasefire,” the spokesperson continued, emphasizing the need to create favorable conditions for achieving a two-state solution.

This, she said, would be the foundation for a sustainable and lasting peaceful resolution to the Palestinian issue.

Vietnam reaffirmed its support and readiness to contribute positively to international efforts to rebuild Gaza, based on respect for national sovereignty, international law, and the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people.

On October 13, 2025, U.S. President Donald Trump and over 20 other world leaders attended a summit on the Gaza Strip held in Sharm el-Sheikh, Egypt.

At the event, President Trump signed a ceasefire agreement called the “Trump Peace Accord” to officially end the conflict between Israel and Hamas.

According to the peace roadmap proposed by the U.S. President, after a prisoner and hostage exchange between Hamas and Israel, Israeli forces will begin withdrawing from Gaza in preparation for the next phase of negotiations.

On the same day, Hamas released 20 Israeli hostages in exchange for nearly 2,000 Palestinian prisoners being set free.
