Tran Dinh Son won the first title in the men’s 400m event with a time of 46.70sec.
His female teammate, Khuat Phuong Anh, triumphed in the 1,500m category, running in 4min 35.41sec.
Nguyen Thi Hong Thuong had her great day after winning in the women’s discus throw with a result of 45.38m.
Vietnamese athletes also earned a silver medal in the women’s 400m by Nguyen Thi Hang (54.64) and two bronze medals, with victories in the men’s 400m by Luong Van Thao (47.68) and in the men’s hammer throw by Do Tan Truong (53m).
