The Vietnamese players had no difficulty putting pressure on their Nepalese opponents to take a 3-0 lead in the first half.
After the fourth goal by Minh Quang, the Vietnamese team slowed down their tempo, giving players the chance to sharpen their skills.
At the end of the match, Vietnam used a power-play strategy by withdrawing the goalkeeper and reinforcing the attack, forcing Nepal to return and defend their goal.
The match ended 5-0 in favour of Vietnam.
On October 7, Vietnam enjoyed a huge win 6-1 against Mongolia in their opening match of the group stage.
Vietnam, ranking first in Group D, and the Republic of Korea (RoK) in second, have therefore won spots to compete in the final round of the 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup, though they will both play against each other in their final group match on October 11.
The 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup qualifiers sees the participation of 31 Asian futsal teams.
The teams are divided into eight groups, with the best eight group winners and seven second-placed teams progressing to the final round which is scheduled to get underway in Thailand from April 17 to 28, 2024.
The 2024 AFC Futsal Asian Cup finals will also serve as the qualifying round of the 2024 FIFA Futsal World Cup.
The Vietnamese team have played in two FIFA Futsal World Cups before, in 2016 and 2020, reaching the knockout-stage in both tournaments.
At the most recent World Cup, they ended their campaign in the round of 16. They are now placed 39th in the global rankings.
