The golds, along with a silver and bronze, were won in the blitz chess events.
Nguyen Anh Khoi won a gold in the boys’ U16 category; Nguyen Hong Anh triumphed in the girls’ U18 pool, and Bach Ngoc Thuy Duong won in the girls’ U16 class.
The young masters will continue with the last round in the standard chess event. Three Vietnamese competitors are leading. Nguyen Le Cam Hien tops the girls’ U12; Nguyen Ha Khanh Linh, girls’ U10, and Dang Le Xuan Hien, girls’ U8.
