The Vietnamese representative ultimately failed to clinch a Top 20 finish, with Kevin Dasom of host nation Thailand announced as the winner of Manhunt International 2024 male pageant.

The first, second, third, and fourth runner-up titles went to the contestants from France, the Philippines, Venezuela, and Italy.

Huynh Vo Hoang Son, 28, hails from Ho Chi Minh City and stands at 1.85m tall. He currently works as a doctor at Military Hospital 175. Previously, he finished second at Mister Universe Tourism 2023.

The Manhunt Contest originally started back in 1987, when Alex Liu, pageant director of Metromedia Singapore, decided to stage the first male model contest in Singapore. Liu consequently planned the first Manhunt contest in Singapore, which later developed into a global contest in 1993.

Vietnam initially began participating in Manhunt International in 2002, although none of the country’s contestants had won a title until Ngo Tien Doan won the Best Body prize in 2007. A year later, Nguyen Van Thinh came second in the online poll.

Most notably, model Ngoc Tinh was crowned Mister Manhunt International 2017 and also won the Face of The Year, Mr Internet Popularity, and Best Fashion Model awards. In 2018, Mai Tuan Anh was awarded the fourth runner-up title.

This year marked the 22nd edition of the contest which got underway in Bangkok in Thailand from May 18 to May 27.
