VietNamNet Bridge – The national dance group S.I.N.E defeated six international rivals to be crowned champions of “Centaur Dance Showdown 2012” in Singapore on January 18.
The winners were awarded US$10,000 for their dancing skill, confidence, and style.
The final night featured performances from six dance groups including Team Swarup (India), Katoon Network (Malaysia), KRUMPinoy (the Philippines), The Zoo (Thailand), S.I.N.E. (Vietnam), and Radikal Forze (Singapore).
The groups faced off in two divisions: free and combat.
An audience of 4,000 enjoyed the dance spectacle. The jury consisted of Vietnamese singer Ho Ngoc Ha, Japanese breakdancer Katsuyuki Ishikawa, and Singaporean hip hop artist Sheikh Haikel.
A number of other prizes were also awarded. Singapore’s Radikal Forze were voted the audience favourite through SMS and social media.
The jury awarded Malaysia’s Katoon Network the prize for the best demonstration of centaur spirit.
