VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnam ranked third at the Asia Wushu Championships 2012, which closed on August 26, with three gold, 11 silver and 5 bronze medals.

The three gold medals belong to Nguyen Manh Quyen in the men’s Nangun (Southern cudgel) performance. He scored 9.72 points compared to 9.68 points of the silver medal winner, Cho Seung Jae of South Korea.

Nguyen Thanh Tung took home the second gold medal for Vietnam in the men's taijiquan (supreme ultimate fist) event with 9.61 points, beating Chinese Macau’s Lao Chon In and Weet Wee Key from Singapore.

Nguyen Huy Thanh won the third gold medal in the men’s fencing event in the last day of the tournament, August 25, in HCM City. He scored 9.68 points, 0.03 points more than his Hong Kong rival – Chen Riguo.

In final, China ranked first with 20 gold and 1 silver medals and Iran came second with 6 gold, 3 medals and 2 bronze medals.
