According to the Vietnam Institute of Educational Sciences, the organizer of the International Economic Olympiad in Vietnam, the two students who won the bronze medal are Do Hoang Minh from the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted and Luong An Khang from the British Vietnamese International School, Ho Chi Minh City.

Three other students who joined this competition are Nguyen Minh Vinh Ky of the British Vietnamese International School, Ho Chi Minh City; Vu Duc Kha of Nguyen Huu Huan High School, Ho Chi Minh City; and Nguyen Hoang Dam Thuyen of the Hanoi - Amsterdam High School for the Gifted.
The International Economics Olympiad (IEO) is an annual competition for high school students, with diverse content, divided into three main sections: Economics, Understanding Finance, and Business Ideas.
The International Economics Olympiad 2021 were held online by Latvia from July 26 to August 1, 2021 with the participation of 215 contestants from 44 countries.
This is the first time that Vietnamese students have participated in this competition. They had only three months to prepare for the event.
Professor Le Anh Vinh, Head of the Organizing Committee of the Vietnam Economic Olympia, said: “This is a great encouragement for the movement of teaching and learning economics for high school students, especially when the subject of Economics and Law is an official subject in the new general education curriculum."
