Vo Ha Duc Minh of Viet Nam triumphed at the World Youth Baduk (Go) Festival in Inje, Gangwon, South Korea.

Minh won all four matches to take the championship title in the Elementary School High Group. He was the only foreigner who won a title at the seventh festival, which was held from Saturday to yesterday (Aug 4). All seven other titles went to players from South Korea.

Viet Nam sent five competitors to the event, which lured more than 200 students from 12 countries between elementary school and college age.

Baduk or go is a two-player game in which you alternately place black and white pieces called stomes on the vacant intersections of a 19-by-19 board.

The objective of the game is to surround a larger total area of the board with one's stones than the opponent by the end of the match.
