Vietnam’s women’s national football team continued their dominant run in Group A of the 2025 AFF Women’s Championship, thrashing Indonesia 7-0 to secure a spot in the semifinals with a game to spare.

Goals: Vietnam – Bich Thuy (24’), Hoang Thi Loan (28’), Hai Yen (69’, 85’), Van Su (71’), Thu Thao (81’), Tuyet Dung (89’)

From the opening minutes, Vietnam controlled possession and launched varied, fluid attacks. Bich Thuy broke the deadlock in the 24th minute after a precise assist from Thu Xuan. Just three minutes later, Hoang Thi Loan doubled the lead with a perfectly placed lob.

In the second half, coach Mai Duc Chung made tactical adjustments, bringing in Hai Yen, who quickly made an impact with a header in the 69th minute and a composed finish in the 85th. Between her goals, Van Su (71’) and Thu Thao (81’) also found the net, before Tuyet Dung sealed the emphatic win with a curling shot in the 89th.

The result gives Vietnam maximum points after two matches and a guaranteed semifinal berth. They will now face Thailand in their final group match to decide the top spot.
