On November 29, at the office of the People's Committee of Tan Hoa commune, Tan Chau district, Tay Ninh province, a meeting to exchange information between officials of Tan Hoa commune and Choam Crovien commune, Me Mot district, Tbong Khmum province, Cambodia was held.
Tan Hoa and Choam Crovien communes share a border line of over 10km long. At the talks, the two sides discussed and informed each other about the situation of socio-economic development, security and order along the border between the two communes.
In general, the authorities and armed forces of the two communes have well coordinated to safely protect the border markers of the two countries. They have regularly exchanged information and related situations, and coordinated to promptly resolve some issues on the border. The two sides always create favorable conditions for people to exchange goods for economic development in the border area.
At the talks, the two sides proposed a plan to fight and prevent all types of crime in the future.
Tay Ninh province is located in the Southeast region and the Southern key economic region of Vietnam. It shares a 240 km long border with Cambodia, with three international border gates of Moc Bai, Xa Mat and Tan Nam. There are also three main border gates of Ka Tum, Chang Riec and Phuoc Tan and 10 additional border gates. The Moc Bai International Border Gate is 70 km from Ho Chi Minh and 170 km from Phnom Penh of Cambodia.
In recent times, in the spirit of proactive and positive integration, Tay Ninh's foreign affairs activities with border provinces have been deployed synchronously and effectively, with many improvements and comprehensive development across all three pillars: Party diplomacy, State diplomacy and People's diplomacy, thereby helping to maintain good traditional relationships with localities of Cambodia, contributing to socio-economic development and strengthening national defense and security.
