VietNamNet Bridge – The 4th Ao Dai Festival took place in California, USA, with the presence of a large number of overseas Vietnamese and international friends. Designer Duc Hung from Vietnam brought his latest ao dai collection to the festival.

May 15 was chosen as "The Day for Ao Dai" of Vietnamese living in California and elsewhere in the United States with the desire to contribute to preserve and develop the cultural heritage of Vietnam in America.

The ao dai is a symbol of beauty and culture and also the pride of Vietnamese. To honor the diversity of American society, the Vietnamese-American community held a community event called Ao Dai Festival every two years.

The Vietnamese-American community wants to make it a special day for the people of California to share cultural heritage through wearing the Vietnamese ao dai.

The California Senate also decided to approve May 15th as the "Day for Vietnamese Ao Dai" in California.

The Ao dai festival this year is based on the legend of Son Tinh, Thuy Tinh with performances of traditional music forms of Vietnam and ao dai collections of many famous fashion designers.

Joining the festival were designers from Vietnam and the US.
