He is the first Vietnamese designer and art director to be nominated, as well as the first from Southeast Asia.

Gieo, released in 2022, is the fourth album of Ngọt band – Việt Nam’s most well-known pop-rock band for the younger age. Gieo’s packaging design was created by Duy and his team, Studio DUY.

Graduating from the Art Center College of Design in the United States – one of the top ten design schools in the world, Duy has an impressive resume with his bold creative visions.
Duy's outstanding work has garnered various international recognitions, including multiple awards from esteemed organisations such as the Art Director Club Award, International Design Award, and the Type Director Club in the United States.
His work has been featured in renowned publications including World's Best Typography 2018 and The Brand Identity, and exhibited in 16 countries worldwide, such as The Cooper Hewitt Smithsonian Design Museum in New York.
Notably, the young designer has worked with prestigious global brands such as Google, Facebook, Twitter, Apple Music and Oppo.
As creative director and primary designer, he also supervised the high-profile design project Vinamilk's new brand identity, which earned a reputation for its energizing design and garnered attention nationally in 2023.
The award will be announced at the 66th Grammy Awards ceremony on February 4, 2024, in Los Angeles, United States. – VNS
