The Asian Athletics Federation has included Vietnamese track and field representatives in their list of the top ten outstanding regional athletes.
In the women’s high jump, Duong Thi Viet Anh, who won a silver and bronze medal at the recent Asian Indoor Athletics Championships held in Hangzhou, China, ranked sixth with her achievement of 1.9m.

The jumper, born in Bac Lieu province, managed to clear 1.9m during last November’s Indonesia Southeast Asian Games.

Fellow high jumper Pham Thi Diem was placed ninth with 1.87m.

Nguyen Thi Mong Tuyen, Le Ngoc Phuong, Truong Thanh Hang, and Vu Thi Huong were placed fifth in the women’s 4x100m with a time of 45 sec 01.

In the women’s 800m, Hang ranked fifth with a time of 2:01.41, which she set at the Asian Athletics Championships in Kobe, Japan, last year.
