Nguyen Phuong Khanh was the first Vietnamese entrant to win the Miss Earth title, marking a historical landmark for the country. Before no other Vietnamese contestant was able to achieve such a feat.

Nguyen Thi Huyen finished in the Top 15 of Miss World 2004.

Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy competed at Miss World 2006 in Poland. She finished 17th , the highest ranked contestant in the Asia-Pacific region.

Thuy Lam was listed in the Top 15 of Miss Universe 2008 held in Vietnam.

At the Miss World 2009 pageant, Tran Thi Huong Giang was named in the top 12 during the swimsuit segment, ranking second in the Top Model session and finished in 16th place overall.

Truong Tri Truc Diem took the 15th place at Miss International 2011. She is 1.74 meters tall and measured 83-60-90.

Thu May finished as the third runner-up at Miss Supranational 2011.

Tran Ngoc Lan Khue took the crown of the first-ever Miss Ao Dai 2014 and won a ticket to compete at Miss World 2015. The 1.76m-tall-girl took 11th place thanks to having the highest vote from spectators across the globe.

Thuy Van was awarded the third runner-up title at Miss International 2015.

Nguyen Thi Le Nam Em achieved a top eight finish at Miss Earth 2016.

The first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2014 Nguyen Tran Huyen My competed in Miss Grand International 2017. She finished among the top 10.

Ha Thu was among the top 16 finalists at Miss Earth 2017. She also won 1 gold medal at the swimsuit segment and 1 bronze medal during the talent segment.

In Miss World 2017, Do My Linh won the Beauty with a Purpose title, came first in the Head-to-Head challenge and finished among the top 40.

Huong Giang was crowned Miss International Queen 2018. She is the first Vietnamese contestant to win the top prize at a transgender beauty contest.

Vietnamese representative Phuong Nga won the Miss Popular Vote title and finished among Top 10 of the Miss Grand International 2018 pageant.
