VietNamNet Bridge – The first runner-up of Miss Vietnam 2010, Hoang My, met with some Hollywood movie stars of “The Avengers” at the global release ceremony of this blockbuster in Los Angeles on April 13-14.

Hoang My and a representative of MegaStar film distributor were invited to take part in the event.

“The Avengers” is a blockbuster of this summer, where it gathers seven cartoon heroes of Marvel: Iron Man, Captain America, Thor, Black Widow, Nick Fury, Hawkeye and Hulk. In this movie, Nick Fury is director of S.H.I.E.L.D, an international peace keeping agency. The agency is a who's who of Marvel Super Heroes, with Iron Man, The Incredible Hulk, Thor, Captain America, Hawkeye and Black Widow. When global security is threatened by Loki and his cohorts, Nick Fury and his team will need all their powers to save the world from disaster. The cost of this 3D film is around $220 million. It was shot in seven months.

“The Avengers” will be released in Vietnam on April 27, one week before the US, with both 2D and 3D versions.

This is the sixth time that a Vietnamese celebrity is invited to participate in the global launching ceremony of a Hollywood movie. Miss Vietnam 2006 Mai Phuong Thuy joined the release ceremony of Transformers 2 in Japan in 2009, and the two parts of Twilight in Hollywood. Actress Ngo Thanh Van talked with Angelina Jolie at the launching ceremony of Kungfu Panda 2 in the US and Johnny Tri Nguyen appeared at the launching ceremony of Super 8 in Singapore last year.
