The assets of the richest people in Vietnam have risen sharply in recent times. Many tycoons have earned huge recently.
Six Vietnamese businesspeople have been named in Forbes’ list of the world’s richest billionaires.
Bank shares, which saw prices increasing sharply in the last year thanks to banks' good business performance and prospects, have become the "pillar" of the stock market.
Viet Capital Securities (VCSC) has released a report which says Coteccons, the largest construction company in Vietnam, may lose VND60 trillion, or nearly $2.6 billion in 2021-2025.
A number of large corporations have launched programs offering preferential shares to employees as part of their plans to seek talents for key posts.
VietNamNet Bridge - As of December 25, the 20richest millionaires on the stock market who were born in the 80s had total assets of VND4.16 trillion (over $200 million). Some of them are spouses or brothers and sisters.
According to Forbes, as of November 16, 2015, Southeast Asia had a total of 70 people with assets of $1 billion or more. Vietnam has a sole representative Pham Nhat Vuong, Chairman of the Vingroup, with assets estimated at $1.8 billion.
