HAGL’s Chair Doan Nguyen Duc, who owns the HAGL FC in Vietnam, said Laos does not have a national football championship while the local government and people want to have such an event.
He said HAGL will not only contribute capital but its 10-year experience with football business to implement the Laos League project.
Duc said this project is at the beginning step so HAGL’s investment is not fixed yet but the figure would be in millions of US dollars.
In Vietnam, Duc invests nearly VND100 billion ($5 million) in the HAGL FC a year.
Recently, HAGL has stated to spend around $1 billion in forest and rubber growing, airport, sugar, hospital and school projects in Laos’ poorest province of Attapeu.
