Warwick Vietnight is an annual cultural show created by the Warwick Vietnamese Society (Vietsoc) at Warwick University, attracting nearly 400 Vietnamese overseas students throughout the UK every year.

"Vietnight aims to promote Vietnamese culture to foreigners as well as bring all Vietnamese students across the United Kingdom together to have a little taste of home," said Dao Trong Tuan Khai, vice president of Warwick Vietsoc.

It is also an opportunity for Vietsoc's members to demonstrate their talent and pursue their passion.

This event is expected to be a captivating blend of acting, dance and musical performances, all by Vietnamese students.

The highlight this year will be a play entitled The Inheritance. It is a story about the scramble for the throne by cunning conspiracy-minded heirs after the passing of their king. Vietnight 2016, where politics, love and power will be portrayed through both comedy and drama, hopes to be just as successful as previous years.

"As performers, we have to constantly strive to deliver high quality shows to those who took the time and effort to come and support Warwick Vietsoc," said Vuong Gia Hieu, a 23 year old member of Vietsoc.

"It has been truly amazing to see how Vietnight has grown and become more professional over the years, and I hope this valuable cultural event will be continued by future Warwick Vietsoc members," Hieu added.

After the show, a portion of profits will be donated to charitable organisations, including the SOS Children's Villages in Vietnam.

Established in 2003, Vietsoc has grown to around 200 members, including current students and active alumni. It has become one of the largest cultural societies in the United Kingdom formed by Vietnamese students.

The society aims to bring together all the Vietnamese students studying at the university and help them integrate more easily into their new lives away from home through a variety of cultural activities at the university.
