The áo dài collection by designer Đỗ Trịnh Hoài Nam and singer Thái Thùy Linh features American and North Korean flags and typical images of the two countries. The collection also includes images of Hà Nội, the sight of the summit.

"I always hope that the beautiful images of Việt Nam country and its people and Hà Nội Capital will be popular in the world," said singer Linh.

"Every person chooses to make a special thing at this occasion. Designer Nam and I launch this áo dài collection. I have a desire that I believe the whole world wish."

Hồ Trần Dạ Thảo said she designed her latest collection based on the map of the three countries of the US, the DPRK and Việt Nam along with symbolic elements such as a train, star and the colours of red, blue and white," said Thảo.

Designer Trisha Võ said she devoted herself to working on new dresses to celebrate the summit.

“I personally like the landscape, so I have brought out the outstanding images of Vietnamese such as Thăng Long Citadel and Hoàn Kiếm Lake, the Statue of Liberty and North Korea’s Pyongyang Arch of Triumph for the áo dài collection."

Model-turned-singer Hồ Ngọc Hà meanwhile has showed off her painted lips with American-North Korean flags.

"We want to see beautiful smiles on the lips of all people around the world and only peace can bring this," said Hà’s make-up artist Lâm Thành Kim.

"We hope to join hands to call for the peace because the peace is the best colour of humanity.” — VNS
