Directed by Le Thanh Son with support from Vietnamese enterprises in Poland, Jailbait earned record revenue of 150 billion VND (6.6 million USD) following 16 days of nationwide screening, becoming one of the highest-grossing Vietnamese movies to date.

The film screening was followed by a gathering of Vietnamese and Polish filmmakers and Vietnamese expatriates in the country.

Other Vietnamese works introduced at the event were “Phien cho vung cao” (weekend market in mountainous region) and “Mui Ne, vung bien thuc” (Mui Ne, a sleepless sea). They are documentaries produced to promote Vietnamese tourism.

On the sidelines of the film festival, Ngo Phuong Lan, Director of the Vietnam Cinema Department under the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, had a working session with the Polish Filmmakers Association on collaboration of Vietnamese and Polish film producers.

The signing of the pact is expected to take place during the upcoming 20th Vietnam Film Festival in Da Nang from November 24 to 28.
