Vietnamese ethnic costumes introduced at Bangkok Kids Int’l Fashion Week
A collection of Vietnamese ethnic costumes designed by renowned Vietnamese Le Tran Dac Ngoc has impressed international audiences at Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week.
Ngoc’s collection themed “Xuong Cho” or “Go to the Market” draws inspiration from the culture of ethnic minority groups, including Ha Nhi, Si La, Tay, Pa Then, Red Dao, Thai, La Hu, and H'Mong Hoa.
A total of 12 child models open this year's Bangkok Kids International Fashion Week, with the youngsters strutting down the runway in 12 colourful outfits.
Young models with experience of performing at international events such as Cao Huu Nhat, Do Bao Han, and Doan Ngoc Diep, are on hand to showcase Ngoc’s designs.
These designs introduce international audiences to the Vietnamese Ao Dai.
Dac Ngoc, a trailblazer, has become the first Vietnamese representative at a number of international fashion weeks over recent years, including Malaysia Fashion Week 2018, London Fashion Week - House of Ikons 2019, Saint - Petersburg Kids Fashion Day, Vie Fashion Week 2019 (Dubai), Bangkok International Kids Fashion Show 2010, Luxury Brand Global Fashion Week, and Thailand Fashion Week 2022.
