As part of the campaign to advertise Lady Gaga’s album “Born This Way,” the tour “The Born This Way Ball” in Asia and Oceania will begin on April 24 in Seoul, South Korea.
The tour will take place over two years – 2012-2013, with 110 shows. The admission fare for the show in Thailand is from VND1-5 million ($50-250).
In Hong Kong and Singapore, more than 6,000 tickets for the Lady Gaga show were sold out in over a week. The price in the black market was eight times higher than the official price. To satisfy fans, the organizing board will hold two more shows in Hong Kong and one more in Singapore.

Meanwhile, hundreds of Vietnamese fans have booked air tickets to Bangkok this May to watch Lady Gaga’s show, because it is the cheapest to go to Thailand rather than to Seoul, Hong Kong or Singapore. Tickets for this show have been sold as of March 17.
Last year, dozens of Vietnamese fans went to Bangkok to enjoy “A Thousand Suns” show of Linkin Park.
Lady Gaga went to Vietnam in 2008 to perform in the final night of the Miss Universe 2008 in the central city of Nha Trang. However, she was not very famous at that time and the song she performed - “Just Dance” – in the swimsuit competition was unfamiliar to Vietnamese people.

After embarking on the The Fame Ball Tour, she followed the album with The Fame Monster (2009), which spawned the worldwide hit singles "Bad Romance", "Telephone" and "Alejandro." The album's success allowed her to embark on the eighteen-month long Monster Ball Tour, which later became one of the highest-grossing concert tours of all time.
Her 2011 album Born This Way topped the charts of most major markets and generated more international chart-topping singles, including "Born This Way", "Judas" and "The Edge of Glory."
Lady Gaga is recognized for her flamboyant, diverse and outré contributions to the music industry through fashion, performance and music videos. She has sold an estimated 23 million albums and 64 million singles worldwide, making her one of the best-selling music artists of all time and her singles some of the best selling worldwide.
Her achievements include five Grammy Awards and 13 MTV Video Music Awards. Lady Gaga has consecutively appeared on Billboard magazine's Artists of the Year, ranked fourth in VH1's list of 100 Greatest Women in Music, is regularly placed on lists composed by Forbes magazine and was named one of the most influential people in the world by Time magazine.
In 2012, Gaga was ranked at number four on Billboard's list of top moneymakers of 2011, grossing more than 25 million dollars.
