Vietnamese female boxers into semifinals of World Boxing Championships
Nguyen Thi Tam and Nguyen Thi Huong have enjoyed a wonderful day at the ongoing 2019 AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships as they both successfully made it into the semifinal round of the event in Ulan-Ude, Russia.

By making it to the competition’s semifinals, it also ensures that the pair will finish the tournament with silver medals.
Previously, in the first round of the 51 kg category, Nguyen Thi Tam recorded a 4-1 victory over Natalia Rok of Poland. She continued her good form with a 5-0 win over Lutsaikhan of Mongolia.
Moving onto the quarterfinals, the Vietnamese boxer enjoyed a 3-2 victory over Aetbaeva Liliya from host-nation Russian to book her ticket to the semifinals.

Elsewhere in the 81 kg category, underdog Nguyen Thi Huong upset the odds as she beat Graham Dixon Krystal of the United States to make it to the tournament’s semifinals. VOV
