The Vietnam national futsal team

Led by head coach Pham Minh Giang, the national side managed to open the scoring in the second minute through Minh Tri.

Following a 3-1 defeat at the hands of Spanish side Uma Antaquera in their previous fixture, the national team players were determined to learn lessons from the loss and not repeat the same mistakes again.

As a result, the Vietnamese players displayed plenty of attacking flair during the first half, scoring a further four goals through Nhan Gia Hung in the seventh minute, Vu Duc Tung with a brace coming in the 13th minute and 16th minute, before Anh Tai netted again in the 20th minute.

Despite the onslaught, Malaga were able to reply with one goal in the first half.

Following the blitz of goals in the first half, the Malaga players were determined to focus more on defending in the second half, with both teams only adding a goal each to the score line, resulting in the tie finishing 6-2 in favour of the Vietnamese national futsal team.

The Vietnamese team will now move on to the third friendly fixture of their Spanish tour against Real Betis on February 18, as they increase their preparations ahead of the team’s participation in the upcoming 2020 AFC Futsal Championship finals in Turkmenistan. VOV
