Deputy PM Vu Van Ninh on Monday reaffirmed the Government’s commitment to pursuing socialist-oriented market economy while delivering a speech at the Forbes Viet Nam’s business forum in Ho Chi Minh City.

The Government also gives priority to the development of private sector, considering it as an element of a sustainable economy. The sector has contributed 30% to the State budget and 40% of the gross domestic product.

He stressed that the Government is consistent with and capable of maintaining macroeconomic stability and administration reform to create most favorable conditions for investors.

The Government will also continue improving market economy institutions to better integrate into the global community, speeding economic restructuring, renovating growth model, and administrative reform in such fields like customs, tax, insurance, land management, and investment.

Deputy PM Ninh said the active participation in free trade agreements reflects Viet Nam’s determination to support businesses, adding that the Government stands ready to attentively listen to business community’s ideas.

He praised the Forbes Viet Nam to organize this event which drew the participation of nearly 400 domestic and foreign business leaders./.
