On August 10, in HCM City, JBL introduced two new wireless headphones, JBL Tour PRO 2, equipped with a smart charging box with a touchscreen that can play music, customize the headset, and receive calls or messages without opening the phone; and JBL Tour ONE M2 headphone, with adaptive noise cancellation technology, which automatically adjusts to its surroundings in real time.

A representative of JBL said the Covid-19 pandemic led to big changes in technology. Manufacturers have cut the labor force and expenses on marketing. However, JBL has now ranks third in the global market in the field of headphones. The manufacturer hopes that new technologies used by the two new products will attract users.

Recently, Sony launched in Vietnam wireless over-ear noise-canceling phones WF-5000XM5. This is equipped with the company's new noise-canceling technology, which allows users to minimize external noise, especially sounds in the bass and mid-range such as human voices, car engine noise or noise from an airplane.

The product is equipped with three microphones on each headset, including two feedback microphones to increase noise cancellation performance at low frequencies. This is Sony's biggest step forward in noise cancellation technology to more accurately capture and reproduce ambient sound.

Mai Trieu Nguyen, managing director of the mobile phone retail chain Mai Nguyen, said the domestic headphone market has become saturated and is no longer "hot".

As for wireless products, Apple is dominating the market with its AirPods thanks to their convenience. Users just need to take the product out of the charging box. In order to use other products, they have to re-connect to be able to hear.

Nguyen said that though manufacturers continue to launch new products, demand is very weak and sales are slow. He blamed weak purchasing power. People nowadays tend to cut spending on technological products. They think carefully before buying new products and make new purchases only after using their products a long time.
