VietNamNet Bridge – An Indian vessel named Samudra Paharadar carrying 122 members of the Indian Coast Guard arrived at Tien Sa Port in Da Nang City on October 14. During its three-day visit, the ship will join a search and rescue exercise with the Vietnam Coast Guard.

At the welcoming ceremony, representatives of the Vietnam Coast Guard said they highly appreciated the visit of the Indian ship, which aims to tighten ties of friendship, mutual understanding and mutual trust, in accordance with the policy of promoting a "strategic partnership" between Vietnam and India.

During the visit, in addition to a demonstration of using onboard pollution-control equipment, the two sides will participate in a joint search and rescue exercise and a friendly volleyball game, and visit tourist sites in Danang and Hoi An.

This is the third time a ship of the Indian Coast Guard has visited Vietnam and conducted an exchange with the Vietnam Coast Guard.

The ship will leave Da Nang on the afternoon of Oct. 16.
