Vietnamese iPhone 13 fans choose Sierra Blue

iPhone 13 series have been launched into the market with two additional colors this year.

The first iPhone 13s is available in the domestic market, brought to Vietnam by private dealers.

iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max have Sierra Blue version, a new color designed for this year’s series, while iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini have the new version with pink color.

A report by CellphoneS, a large mobile phone distribution chain, showed that the new Sierra Blue has been ordered by many people.

More than 50 percent of people choose the new blue color when ordering iPhone 13 Pro or iPhone 13 Pro Max. The retailer anticipated a short supply of the color in the first distribution period.

Blue iPhone 12 Pro Max also saw a high number of orders last year.

There are four colors for iPhone 13 series, including Graphite, Gold, Silver and Sierra Blue. All the four colors are different from iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini. Sierra Blue is the only new color, while the other three colors were seen on iPhone 12 Pro and iPhone 12 Pro Max last year.

As for iPhone 13 and iPhone 13 Mini, Apple has made a ‘revolution of colors’ when painting five different colors for them. Only red color was seen on iPhone 12 and iPhone 12 Mini last year, while the other four colors are different.

There are more bright colors than dark ones: Red, Starlight, Midnight, Blue and Pink.

Contrary to all predictions, pink color is not favored with less than 10 percent of buyers ordering this version, though pink is beautiful and original. Meanwhile, some men have chosen pink just because of its originality.

In the past, Apple used pink for iPhone 6S, but not many Vietnamese wanted this color. Retailers don’t expect high demand for pink products.

There is a clear tendency that the first clients are those who want to experience new and high-end products. Therefore, buyers at this moment tend to choose Pro Max and new colors. Later, the choices will be more diverse.

According to CellphoneS, the official sale of iPhone 13 will open on October 22, or one month earlier than usual (iPhone 12s officially hit the shelves on November 26, 2020). However, the retailer only takes orders seven days before the delivery time.

Analysts predict that the demand for iPhone 13 will be 15-20 percent lower this year because of Covid-19. However, because of the short supply, revenue from the original iPhone 13 is expected to increase by 30-50 percent compared with the previous model.
