VietNamNet Bridge – The authorities of Thua Thien – Hue province will authorize the Vietnamese Embassy in France to participate in the auction of a painting by Vietnamese King Ham Nghi.

According to the Center for Preservation of Hue Relics, the painting named “Sunset” will be auctioned in Paris by SVV Millon & Associes at 2: pm (local time) on November 24.

 

This is an oil painting, 35x46cm, which was drawn by King Ham Nghi in Algeria in 1915.

 

The starting price will be from Eur800 to 1200.

 

Phan Thanh Hai, deputy director of the Center for Preservation of Hue Relics, said that if Vietnam is successful in the auction, the painting will be added to Hue’s collection of royal antiques and will be displayed at the Museum of Hue Royal Antiques in Hue City.

 

If other paintings by King Ham Nghi are auctioned in France, the center will also attend the auction.
