Vietnam’s Ministry of Home Affairs will provide short-term training for 20 staff from the Lao Ministry of Home Affairs.

The training programme was reached during the talks between Deputy Minister of Home Affairs Tran Anh Tuan and his Lao counterpart Khammoune Viphongsay in Vientiane on December 21.
During the talks, both sides agreed to boost cooperation, exchange of information and experiences across fields such as administration, local authorities and archives.
They stressed the need to further promote solidarity, friendship and cooperation between the two ministries in line with requirements and tasks of each side and amid the formation of the ASEAN Community at the end of this month.
At the talks, they spoke of bilateral cooperation outcomes in recent times, saying the two ministries’ regular exchanges of experience and meetings have contributed to increase their mutual understanding and close-knit.
The two deputy ministers signed a minutes of cooperation for 2016-2020.
The delegation of the Ministry of Home Affairs led by Deputy Minister Tran Anh Tuan is on a working visit to Laos from December 19-22.
