Striker Cong Vinh returns to the national squad.

The line up includes big names such as Minh Phuong, Cong Vinh, Hong Son, Phuoc Tu, Huynh Thanh Quang, Le Tan Tai, and Pham Thanh Luong, who won the 2008 AFF Cup trophy.

Quang Hai, and especially Tai Em, who, together with Minh Phuong, won the AFF Cup in Hanoi five years ago, were not selected, as they were not in good form for the upcoming clash.

Coach Phuc called in Vietnam’s young hopefuls at the upcoming 27th Southeast Asian Games in Myanmar later this year, showing his desire to rejuvenate the squad at the AFF Cup 2014.

Vietnamese players will have warm-up exercises in Hanoi, beginning on July 12 to prepare for the big game with Arsenal five days later.

Following is the 22-member Vietnamese line-up for the friendly game.
