There is high hope that it will win at least three gold medals in single and team events for both men and women.

Vietnam clinched 11 gold medals at the 25th SEA Games in 2009 and 7 gold medals at the 26th Games in 2011.

In preparation for the region’s largest sporting event, Vietnamese marksmen have recently attended a training course in the Republic of Korea (RoK).

Chief coach of Vietnam’s national shooting Nguyen Thi Nhung said she pins high hope on outstanding athletes such as Tran Quoc Cuong, Le Thi Hoang Ngoc, and Hoang Xuan Vinh who won a gold medal at the 2013 World Cup in Changwon, the RoK.

As scheduled, local marksmen will leave Vietnam for Myanmar in December 9 and compete at the 27th SEA Games from December 11-17 in Yangon city.
