VietNamNet Bridge – Vietnamese martial artists are set to take part in the 6th WTF World Taekwondo Poomsae Championships to kick off at the Sports Complex Olympiets in Russia on July 29.

Participants will be competing in nine events, separated into U-18, 19-30 and above 30 age groups.

The three-day tournament is expected to attract 700 athletes from 70 countries.

At last year's tournament, held in Tashkent (Uzbekistan), Viet Nam won two gold, one silver and one bronze medal to finish in second place behind South Korea.

Evaldo scores 20th goal of the season with hat-trick

With a hat trick against Dong Tam Long An, Brazilian Evaldo Goncalves of Hoang Anh Gia Lai, has scored his 20th goal of the 2011 V-League season.

Since the birth of the V-League in 2000, only two players, Kesley Alves (21 goals in 2005) and Jose Emidio Almeida (23 goals in 2008), have managed to score more than 20 goals per season.

With four rounds left in the 2011 V-League season, the Hoang Anh Gia Lai hit man is still in with a chance to become this year's top scorer.
