The final night of the Best Model of the World 2011 took place on the evening of July 30, at the Ancient Roman Theatre in Plovdiv city, Bulgaria.

Two Vietnamese representatives won prizes. Ngoc Tinh took the Best Evening Suit in the “International Designer’s” show with the Vietnamese traditional costume for men (ao dai and khan dong), by famous designer Cong Tri. Huyen Trang won the Best Asia title.

“I am so happy that Vietnam’s traditional costume is honored in the contest,” Tinh said, “I called Tri right away when I heard the news.”

Tri, who said he was thrilled to know about his award-winning ao dai, had embroidered a rising dragon on the design to express the country’s prosperity and national pride.

The Best Model of the World 2011 title belonged to a male model from Serbia and a female model from Bulgaria.
