Le Hoang Duc beat Chinese Ye Ying Dong to defend his title in the men’s USC Flyweight category. Duc was world amateur muay champion in 2016.
Young talent Huynh Ha Huu Hieu also had a win against Nitinart Plabplerng of Thailand to retain her title in the women’s USC Flyweight event.
Meanwhile, top Vietnamese muay fighter and seven-time world champion Nguyen Tran Duy Nhat beat Phimwong Kitti of Thailand to win the Lightweight title.
The competition attracted fighters from six countries along with those from the hosts. It gave Vietnamese players a chance to prove themselves as well as gain experience and hone their skills.
